HCMC PERFORMANCES
NOVEMBER 2005— HCMC was proud to support Valley Forge Chorus in their fund-raising event to support the hurricane victims.

| SNACKIN WITH SANTA — Children line up after our show, to sit and chat with Santa, and get their picture taken. |

DECEMBER 2005— Sprout, the short-elf, was suffering from low-elf esteem at the annual HCMC Holiday Show,“Snackin’ with Santa”, but not for long. The jam-packed room of children of all ages, helped to cheer her on as they laughed readily at her jokes, all the while coloring and doing crafts as they
took in the holiday music. |
| The world’s tallest elf, GB (short for Green Bean) provided additional entertainment with her parade of “holiday head-wear.” It was a rousing good time for audience and chorus members alike. |
 |
| MUST BE SANTA —Immediately following our performance, Sally Kelly, our Team Coordinator, accompanied by several children from the audience, including her own, leads the kids in song. |
|
DECEMBER 2005— Mid-December found us partying
at the home of our beloved director and adored “Jill-of-all-trades”, Michael & Marianna Gellert.
Our annual holiday party took on the venue of a
“SHUVUNDA” EVENT (everyone brought a wrapped gift that they had previously “shoved under” their bed). The quality gifts included: a silver treasure that |

| had been in someone’s china closet for years, with a new shine; rubber gloves that had been accented with a faux diamond and ruffles. We are quite sure that we will see some of these items next year. |
| DECEMBER 2005 —We got involved with Maryland Public Television in December, helping to “woman” the phones for one of their pledge drives. As a result, we’ve been invited back to perform in JANUARY 2006. Please tune in!
DECEMBER 2005—HCMC rang in the New Year at First Night Annapolis where we were absolutely THRILLED to sing for over 240 people. We found that our flyers and business cards were rapidly disappearing at the end of each performance and are looking forward to the potential of additional members and new fans, as well as interesting novel ‘gigs’. We even had a moment to pose for a photo with another Sweet Adeline visiting from Europe and she joined us on the risers for a rendition of "How We Sang Today". Yes, we live to perform!
ON THE HCMC MEMBERSHIP FRONT
 |
| New Bass, Alicia Estes |
|
Our membership campaign thrived in 2005 and we are thrilled with the “sparks” that Alicia, Amber, Christy, Jill, Joyce, Mandy, Marci and Yvonne bring to each rehearsal and performance. It’s great to be reminded of what it’s like to be new in an insanely great hobby! |
 |
Newest bass, Tarja Johnson |
|

|
Newest lead, Jill Garthwaite |
|
| At this writing, 2006 is promising as we have two more prospective members in our “pipeline” and know that they are going to fabulous additions to the HCMC family! |
