Joint Venture

Born on a dark and stormy night at a hospital emergency room while waiting for the lead's lacerated knee to be repaired, Joint Venture Quartet has been keeping it's audience in stitches for over seven years. Their joint adventure has led the quartet to performances from coast to coast. When Alta hollers, "Road trip!" the gals all pile into the mini-van and set off together to wow another audience.

Quartet personnel include:
Lead, Cathy Johnson. Cathy has been a Sweet Adeline for over 39 years (which, coincidentally, is how old she is). She is the director of ShowTime Singers, a mixed voice chorus.

Tenor, Judy Martell. A barbershop brat with a degree in music, Judy is the quartet guru. She has been assistant director with three different barbershop choruses, including Harbor City Music Company.

Baritone, Alta Paronto. Alta first joined Sweet Adelines in Germany. Her return to the States brought an electric personality to Joint Venture Quartet and Harbor City Music Company.

Bass, Roxanne Powell. As the shortest member of the ensemble, Roxanne has been assigned all the low notes on the theory she's closer to them. When not rumbling in the cellar, she is the assistant director of ShowTime Singers.
